Notes:
I will have director access to this corp and buy 5000 shares myself.
I know who this persons main(s) are. I will release them at anytime I feel somthing is not going right.
Over all he has a great plan, I trust this person, and wish him the best of luck. If you have any questions about my roll in this, I have none. My only roll is he needed somone that Eve Community trusts, and the only way I would give me word in this thread is if I have director access to the corp.
He is a friend, and one of my main characters friends as well. I wouldnt invest 500mil in a corp if I felt it was a bad investment.

Due to his main having some alliances / corps not liking his main's corp / alliance I advise its best to not let the entire Eve Population know there names. I gave him another idea so that it solves the (They could be my alts issue).

Just to answer some questions and thoughts.
The entire carrier issue is why he cant' release his mains characters. It puts a bigger target on there back than there already is.
Gate Camps cant stop a carrier. If you jump into an empty system, 20 seconds later you can jump again. There is no gate camp issues, you should never lose a carrier jumping it.
Reason I felt so strongly twoards this IPO is because this is how PCT is currently making a large % of its isk. I only supply one outpost, and part of the deal between us is he stays out of my outpost so neither of us start hurting each other compition wise.
Is there risks in this IPO, yes. Is there risks in every IPO that I have seen including mine, Yes.

My suggestion for this is simple. Seems more people are worried about the carrier pilot. I know your main can fly a carrier pilot. You should take 2bil of the 12bil and invest that into fuels / carrier designed for travel and max capacity (Mark V's with 27% expanders and such and do the runs yourself. Even if later on the project dosnt go well, carriers are not hard to liquadate.
This is my thoughts on the matter.

Also by doing it yourself helps 2 things.
1. You are not paying for the delivery (saves some isk)
2. YOu can make sure you only jump the carrier when safe, you wont have to deal with well maybe I can get through those 12 hostiles or pirates in the system.

I still back this IPO. This is the only IPO I have ever backed, and probably the only one I will ever back. 2 others have come to me to back theres, and I refused. 1 other friend has asked me to back theres and I trust the person, but dont like the plan.
Some Notes:
Took me over a month to actually back this idea up. It took many drafts and many writeup's to get my backing on it. Even though this person is my friend, I would not back it just because of that, I would want to see somthing that would actually work, and somthing I feel the Eve Community would gain from.
I have invested over 1bil isk in personal Isk from my main with this IPO. The only other shares that I bought with personal isk is EMFI.
I question the 10% return monthly atm. I feel it will take 2mths+ to get this type of return. It will take time to see what sells, what dosnt sell, and fight off the compitition, but I already understand this before investing.
